About Me
I've been dreaming up stories since I was a kid. I grew up nestled amongst Florida's palm-studded beaches, mosquito-bitten marshes, and pine-painted forests. It wasn't hard to find magic. My first attempt at writing a novel was in high school, when I wrote a book about warring panthers in the Florida jungle. Writing let me escape the world, but it also helped me better understand the world—and better understand myself. As my characters grew, I grew as well.
During college and law school, I took some time off from novel writing. But I never stopped thinking in terms of stories. I majored in modern history, to learn how the world got here. Then I went to law school, to see where I could take the world next. I have a day job now, but I've taken up the pen again. I write because I need to. I also find it incredibly thrilling.
I now live in Washington, DC, with my spouse and two chihuahuas. When I'm not writing or at my day job, you can find me curled up with a book, snuggling my pups, sipping some loose-leaf tea.
About My Writing
Fantasy has always been my favorite genre. I love stories that have high-stakes adventure, quirky characters, rich worldbuilding, a touch of romance, and ultimately self-discovery. Those are the kinds of stories I try to write. Easy, no? I'm working on a project now that I hope could one day be published. If you’d like updates, sign up for my Newsletter or follow my Instagram. I’d love to share this journey with you.
